This Recurring Payment Policy explains how recurring charges work for your food delivery subscription, billing schedules, changes, cancellations, refunds, failed payments, taxes, and how to contact us for payment questions.
Billing Schedule and Authorization
Subscription cadence: Subscriptions renew automatically on the plan's cadence: weekly, biweekly, monthly, or annual, depending on the plan you selected.
Authorization: By subscribing you authorize us to charge the payment method you provided today and on each renewal date until you cancel.
Initial charge: Your payment method is charged immediately at sign-up for your first billing period and any applicable taxes, fees, or one-time setup charges.
Payment Methods and Processing
Accepted methods: We accept credit and debit cards and any payment types supported by our checkout provider.
Processor: Payments are processed through our website platform and its payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our servers; your payment processor handles card storage and tokenization.
Receipts: An email receipt is sent after every successful payment. Keep your receipt for records and tax purposes.
Price Changes and Plan Modifications
Price changes: We may change subscription prices. You will be notified by email at least 14 days before a price increase takes effect for your next billing cycle.
When changes apply: Price changes apply at the next renewal after the notice period unless you cancel before that renewal.
Upgrades and downgrades: Upgrades take effect immediately and are billed pro rata or as described at checkout. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle unless otherwise specified.
Trials, Promotions, and Coupons
Free trials: If your subscription includes a free trial, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first recurring charge. Trial-to-paid conversions are automatic on the trial end date.
Promo codes: Promo codes apply only as stated in the offer. If a promo expires, the regular subscription price will apply at renewal.
Cancellations and Pauses
How to cancel: Cancel within your account dashboard or by contacting customer support. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current paid period unless otherwise specified.
Immediate cancellations: If you cancel and request an immediate stop to future deliveries within the current billing period, delivery may continue until the paid period ends; no pro rata refunds are guaranteed unless stated in the Refunds section.
Pausing subscriptions: If available, a subscription pause temporarily stops renewals for a specified period. Pauses must be requested through your account dashboard or support and are subject to plan rules.
Refunds and Credits
Refund eligibility: Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. We do not issue refunds for naturally perishable food consumed or delivered as described in your order confirmation.
Service failures: If an entire delivery is not made due to our error, we will offer either a replacement delivery, a credit toward future service, or a refund at our discretion.
How refunds are issued: Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within the processor’s standard timeframe. Credits appear as account balance or coupon codes according to your account settings.
Failed Payments and Delinquency
Payment retries: If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again following our retry schedule. You will receive email notices for failed payments and account status.
Updating payment method: Update your payment method in your account dashboard to avoid service interruption.
Delinquent accounts: Accounts with unresolved failed payments beyond the retry period may be suspended or canceled and outstanding balances may remain due.
Taxes and Fees
Taxes: Applicable sales tax, VAT, or other taxes are added to your invoice and charged at checkout and on each renewal according to law.
Delivery and service fees: Delivery fees, service fees, and any optional add-ons are billed according to the plan and selected options and will recur with your subscription unless changed.
Disputes and Chargebacks
Disputes: Contact us first to resolve billing disputes. We will investigate and respond promptly.
Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback instead of contacting us, we will cooperate with the payment processor to contest chargebacks we deem invalid. Repeated chargebacks may result in cancellation of service and collection actions.
Account Changes and Transferability
Account ownership: Subscriptions are tied to the account used to purchase them and are nontransferable without our prior written approval.
Changing plans: To change billing cadence or plan, use your account settings; pro rata charges or credits may apply as described at checkout.
